Ohhh it’s been so long! I’ve missed writing. I’ve missed connecting and sharing things with you.

I’m so happy to be back! I really took time to become still during the holy month of Ramadan. While the rest of the city escaped the ever-increasing summer temperatures, I took the opportunity to enjoy some peace and quiet. Honouring Ramadan this year gave me the opportunity to turn within and give back to myself and give back to others in a much deeper way.

I reconnected to a lot of the positive and spiritual practices that I had let slide, because of, well, life and busy-ness.

I talk about one of these practices in today’s podcast, and I challenge you to join me in doing it for twenty-four hours. If that doesn’t seem like a long time, then wait until you hear what it is. Doing this practice for twenty-four hours is a huge challenge! But so worth it.

Find out what it is by listening to the podcast below.

As I said, I would love to hear from you.

On a scale of 1-10 how challenging did you find implementing this practice for twenty-four hours to be?

How can this practice be helpful to you in your life? What would it change?

Thank you for listening and I’ll catch you again soon for Kira in the Middle.

With lots of love,

Hey gorgeous!

This week has been a crazy one for me!

My husband and I have moved into our new home and while I love building a life within it’s walls I’ve been struggling to keep all my balls in the air, so to speak.  I’ve got so many things on the go.

I’ve been working on my book Soul in the City for what feels like forever now, and I finally feel like it’s almost ready to go out into the world.

This has been a massive stretch for me.

I’ve fought off a lot of resistance and had to dig deep to bring this book to life.

My perfectionist streak has reared it’s head one too many times, and I’ve had to be mindful of self-sabotage throughout the whole process.  It’s been a massive stretch, but one that I needed.

Speaking of being stretched, it’s the topic of this week’s v-log.  I really feel 2015 for both of us, is going to be a year of stretching ourselves.

Hello sweet thing.

In today’s vlog I share with you one sentence that will change your life.

Every day you are faced with having to make choices. Sometimes it’s not easy to make those decisions, and sometimes you aren’t always present in the moment to realise that you even have a choice! You go through your day on “autopilot”, doing things you always do, eating the same thing day in and day out, and not ever really being fully present in the moment. Read More

Hello my friend.

As a hot yoga teacher living in the scorching middle eastern desert I sure know a thing or two about staying hydrated!

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that proper hydration is so important, in fact crucial, to our health and our survival. Every cell in our body require water to be able to function, and dehydration can lead to a range of health problems.

We all know we need to stay well hydrated, but sometimes it’s so hard to get into the habit of drinking enough water! Especially when we’re running at 100 miles an hour, with deadlines, and commitments, and families to take care of. Read More
