Hey gorgeous.

Today’s topic came out of my own struggle the last couple of weeks.  I’ve been falling into old habits, sabotaging my own growth and success, and applying what I know to overcome it.  I’ve been able to move through the struggle and step into my power to choose.

So let’s talk about this Final 5.

5 pounds.

5 more tasks to complete.

5 more things to do that will totally transform your life and deeply fulfil you.

5% more “stuff” to move through, and you’ll be there.  In it.  Your dream life.

You’re taking action and moving towards living a happier, healthier life.

You’re ahead of the game in many ways and a lot further along the path than most.

You know you’ve got what it takes.

You know you can beat this thing.  You CAN change.  You ARE already, and you’ve already done so well.

And there it is.

You’ve already done so well… and what usually follows is… loosen up honey… take it easy honey… it’s enough now.

But is it?

Have you really stepped up into your full blown capacity and given it your best shot?

Of course you have.  You’ve most likely done MORE than enough.

But then what is it?

What’s going on when you get so damn close to what you want you stop dead in your tracks.

Like actually making it happen means….

What does it mean for you?

For me this “thing” comes up a lot.

I commit to eating healthy and exercising.  I love seeing the changes in my body that are the result of my commitment to honouring my body with good food and exercise.

But when I get close to being and doing what I truly want in this area of my life I give up.

I binge eat.

I fall back into old habits.  Like really old.  Sometimes something that hasn’t come up for a decade.

I quit exercising, I make excuses, and I throw thoughts around like “it’s ok, you look great already”, “it’s ok, this isn’t going to hurt”.  And to be honest, it doesn’t really.  But I still can’t help but wonder why when I get so close to honouring my body and being healthy and fit, in the way that I desire to be, I drop it.  I give up, back down, back out, and then feel so guilty.

It’s a cycle.

I get so close to feeling the way I desire to, to really being committed to living and leading from within, and then I throw it all out the window.

I give up on myself and my dreams.  It’s so frustrating!

Now look, it’s not really about the six-pack now is it, or the successful business.  It’s about how I feel about myself.

Taking care of my body, moving, eating, sleeping, and nurturing my body in a way that feels good and right for me is so important.

It makes me feel proud.

I feel so good about myself knowing I’m taking care of ME in the best possible way.

Not only that, being healthy and fit gives me the energy to be more of service to you and to others.

Eating healthy and getting enough rest fuels me, and allows me to give more of myself and my work to the world.

Exercising helps me to get out of my head and into my body, and the physical strength I gain from it makes me feel strong in my mind and in my life, and powerful too.

So why do I do it to myself?

Why do we do it?

And it’s not only our health goals it shows up in.

Relationships too.

Everything’s going peachy and then BAM!  You run.  Back out, throw a tantrum out of nowhere, create a drama over nothing.

And in work and business.  It’s really showing up for me a lot right now in this area of my life.

But what can I do?

What can you do when this self-sabotage shows up in your life?

Charge on.

Not in an aggressive, F-it, I’ll do it anyway kind of way.  Although if that works for you, go for it!

But simply being mindful to the resistance within and taking small, steady steps onwards is enough.  Truly, that’s all it takes.

It doesn’t have to be some big breakthrough.

I think that’s where a lot of us get stuck.  We want that shift.  The one that changes everything, and finally, yes finally, we make it to the other side.

In my experience it just doesn’t work that way.

Daily.  Yes.  Daily.

Daily you must take small steps towards your goals, visions, desires, and dreams.

And let me be clear, this is not about “getting somewhere”.  Of course it’s wonderful to have future dreams and visions, but what matters most is who you are being and what you are doing right now.

Is it fulfilling you?

Does it feel good and right for you?

Does it represent the dreams and visions you hold for yourself and your life?

This is what it’s really about and this is the way you will continue to grow and move forward, leaving behind your past, your destructive habits, and self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviours.

It’s about being present enough, in this very moment, to BE and DO what is right for you and represents what’s really important to you.

If YOU won’t, who will?

There’s a simple tool you can use to gain clarity when self-sabotage and limiting beliefs stop you in your tracks.  It will help you to find the strength and courage to move forward in spite of the stuff that’s coming up for you.

This tool is something I introduce to my clients in The Soul-Shaker Program (enrolments are opening again at the end of the month!  More details below).

It’s easy, simple, and very powerful.

It’s a simple YES or NO question.

Right now think about something you’re moving towards.  A goal, a dream, a way of being, a way of living.  Choose something that you feel stuck with, or unsure about.

Then answer the following questions listing five things for each one.

By DOING/BEING ________________(your topic) I am saying YES to:

By DOING/BEING ________________(your topic) I am saying NO to:

Notice what’s really important to you here.  What ARE you saying yes to and what are you saying no to.

There’s a give and take in every exchange.

For me and my health and fitness goals,

I’m saying yes to my power, the natural, born-with power that is within my body, my mind, and mind soul.

I’m saying yes to my ability to choose.

I’m saying yes to feeling freakin’ fabulous!

And I’m saying no to playing small.

No to listening to “the masses” about who or what I should be.

And I’m saying no to feeling like crap!

I do this activity all the time.  I have committed to playing big.  Meaning I‘m committed to living and breathing my soul and myself into every moment of my day.  I’m committed to stepping outside of my comfort zone in service of me, my family, my friends, and in service of you.

Daily I’m scared out of my boots, and daily I charge onwards anyway.

I use this YES/NO tool a lot, because I’m faced with a lot of things outside of my comfort zone and it’s a simple way for me to connect to what’s most important to me.

In every gain something is lost.

For every gain the space for it must first be created.

Clear up the stuff that’s holding you back.  Step out radiating your sexy soul self.  Commit to yourself and your blessing of a life again and again and again.

And again.

Moment to moment.

I’m with you.

And if you’re struggling on your journey and want support clearing out your “stuff” to allow space for you to BE and DO all that you desire, then get in touch.  Email me at to learn about the ways in which I can support you on your journey.

I’ve been there.  I know exactly what it’s like.  You’re a high achiever, you’re driven, you’re already so far ahead of the game.  You’re doing the inner work, you’re putting in the time, the effort, the outer work.

You’re doing it ALL!

But you’re still stuck.

You’re still not quite THRIVING.

It’s still a STRUGGLE.

I want you to know it doesn’t have to be.

It’s not always going to be easy, but it doesn’t have to be so hard.

You can move forward from this.

You CAN.

You can take small steps, with ease and grace and passion.

It CAN be fun!

It’s supposed to BE fun.

Use this YES/NO tool to own your power and commit to making the choices that are right for you.

And share this post with your friends and family so they can do the same.

You CAN do this.  You can go all the way.  You can BE and DO everything you dream of.

It’s your choice.

It’s your chance.

It’s your time.

To live and lead from within.

You’ve got this. :)

With love, passion + soul.
